Bus Breakdown
- Driver of the stricken bus will inform Transportation Dept via radio
- Another bus will be dispatched to the scene with a mechanic
- Students will be transferred to the new bus
- Bus driver will continue with the remaining bus route
Bus Accident
- Driver of the stricken bus will inform Transportation Dept via radio
- Emergency services will be called to the scene
- Transportation administration will go to the scene of the accident
- Another bus will be dispatched to the scene with a mechanic
- Students will be evaluated by on-site emergency services staff
- Those students requiring further assistance will be sent to local hospitals for further evaluation
- The remaining students will be returned to the closest school to be evaluated by the school nurse.
- Parents will be called and informed of the situation and the status and location of their child
