Occupation: Assistant Vice President in Bank Debt Management at Barclays Bank PLC.
Education: BA in Political Science, with a minor in History from Penn State University.
Though he does not have any school board experience, Mr. Hunter does have a strong desire as a parent to provide the best possible educational experience for not only his children, but also all the children in the district, regardless of their abilities. He possesses a very strong work ethic, as well as organizational and time management skills, which are imperative in Mr. Hunter’s current position at Barclays. He has three young children (Ronan is in 2nd grade, Sullivan is in Kindergarten, and Finley is in pre-school), so Mr. Hunter plans on staying local for his foreseeable future. Mr. Hunter and his wife made the decision to move to Mahopac 10 years ago, prior to starting a family, because this is the community where they wanted their kids to grow and learn. Mr. Hunter has been active in MSA Baseball, as commissioner and coach of T-ball for the past three years, as well as MSA Football for three years. He also ran a flag football clinic for kindergarten students and coached a 1st and 2nd grade flag football team. Mr. Hunter’s wife is a newly appointed board member of the Austin Road PTO. He says he is looking forward to the opportunity to roll up his sleeves and get his hands dirty for the betterment of all the kids in the District.
